February 20 is International Day for the Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) often remain undiagnosed. If left untreated, they can lead to serious complications and long-term consequences. The most common of these include pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, fetal and newborn infection, male and female infertility, and the development of cancer.
