Every year, in April-May, at the initiative of the World Health Organization, European Immunization Week is held in the countries of the European region, including the Republic of Belarus.
This year this event is held from April 21 to April 27.
The main goal of holding European Immunization Week in the Republic of Belarus in 2024 is to maintain and increase vaccination coverage against infections included in the National Preventive Vaccination Calendar, as well as against coronavirus infection.
It is important to remember that only preventive vaccinations can protect you from infectious diseases. Thanks to vaccinations, smallpox has been eradicated throughout the world, and the incidence of other infections has decreased tenfold, or has also been eliminated in certain areas.
Preventive vaccinations for the population in the Republic of Belarus are carried out in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus dated May 17, 2018 No. 42 “On preventive vaccinations”. In accordance with this resolution, all vaccinations included in the National Calendar are free of charge.
To get vaccinated, contact a clinic at your place of residence or a healthcare organization licensed to conduct vaccinations.
