In order to detect tuberculosis in the early stages, it is necessary to undergo a fluorographic examination!
The entire history of tuberculosis is divided into two periods: before and after March 24, 1882, when Robert Koch announced the discovery of the tuberculosis bacillus and this discovery was accepted by practicing physicians.
In the Republic of Belarus, with government support, significant efforts are being made to combat tuberculosis infection. An emphasis is placed on early diagnosis through regular X-ray fluorography examinations and immunodiagnostics to rule out latent forms of tuberculosis. Modern treatment methods are being implemented, ensuring access to effective anti-tuberculosis drugs and treatment monitoring methods, thereby stopping the spread of the infection. Combating drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis is a priority. Patients with drug-resistant tuberculosis require careful attention and efforts to ensure shorter and less painful treatment.
The Republic of Belarus, in collaboration with the WHO, is improving treatment methods and approaches, with treatment durations now reduced to 6-9 months. During treatment, patients receive support in addressing social issues and reintegrating into society after completion.
The spread of tuberculosis in the Republic of Belarus is influenced by the influx of migrant workers, among whom the incidence of tuberculosis is higher than among the country’s population. Therefore, not only medical workers, but also public organizations are involved in preventing the spread and overcoming the consequences of tuberculosis in the Republic of Belarus.
Thanks to measures taken to combat the spread of tuberculosis, the incidence rate in the Republic of Belarus has decreased by 41.2% over the past five years. Currently, the Republic of Belarus has created all the necessary conditions for the early detection and treatment of tuberculosis. Thus, the simplest and most accessible method for detecting tuberculosis is X-ray fluorography.
Tuberculosis prevention is a crucial step, which includes raising public awareness of the signs of the disease and promptly seeking medical attention. Vaccination is a key method of tuberculosis prevention, reducing the risk of contracting the disease and preventing the development of severe forms of the disease. Parents who refuse BCG vaccination put their children at serious risk.
Tuberculosis can be prevented by supporting people with tuberculosis and following healthy lifestyle practices!
